NOVA SCOTIA’S HOME FOR MUSHROOM ENTHUSIASTS

After a disappointing 2025, the mushroom season is off to a much better start this year. So far what the precipitation has lacked in abundance, it has made up for in consistency with regular rain every week or two. As a result, we have set the date for our 2026 Annual Foray for October 17th from 10am-4pm at the Ross Creek Centre for the Arts, 555 Ross Creek Road.

Pre-registration is required and we are able to offer a 50% foray discount for NSMS members plus this year, thanks to funding from the North American Mycological Association (NAMA), we are able to make the foray free for youth members 13-17 years of age! We encourage you to join the Nova Scotia Mycological Society by clicking on the Join us! link above. After joining, members will have access to the Members Only area (use the Login button) where you will be able to complete the registration form and pay the foray fees. Foray registration for members will open September 5th; registration for non-members will open September 26th. See the Events link for more information about the foray.
